Tucker and I knew we wanted to get in a couple of fun hikes this summer and this was no exception. Donut Falls was the perfect family friendly hike and absolutely beautiful. We really do live in the most beautiful place! There were spots of deep forest with moss growing everywhere, little streams, and plenty of squirrels. The kids were dying. Capri kept saying that this must be where fairies live. I would agree. The squirrels were a huge hit and one even stepped onto Capri's shoe. She must be an animal lover! They soon became obsessed with the little fur balls and searched for them the entire way. Jon came with us which only added yet another layer of fun. He is the best! We made it to the top with very little complaints and it was totally worth it-amazing to see why they call it Donut Falls! After downing some granola bars and fruit snacks, we headed back, singing along the way. My kids get so embarrassed when I sing…I love it!
