The Curtis Family

I don't think I ever posted this picture so take a look. It is the entire Curtis Clan as of December 2007. We were all here in San Diego for Christmas and decided to get a very informal picture taken. How informal? Well, the person taking this was a random surfer dude that happened to be on his way to the beach, wetsuit, board and all. I think it turned out pretty well considering!

Worth Every Penny

Well, especially when it is someone else's penny-thank you Susie! I could not be happier about a product for my hair-this blow dryer is absolutely fabulous. The Babyliss Tourmaline 5000 can dry anyone's hair (trust me, my hair is about as thick and long as they come) in no time. Plus, it does it without all of the frizz! I was starting to get constant headaches due to the ponytail hairdo everyday, but that is all I had time for. Now, I can actually let the hair down without spending my valuable minutes. I am in love...

Summer Lovin'!

Not that we don't have pretty nice weather all year round, it definitely has gotten to be a bit warmer, and I love it! Summers were always so magical for me as a kid and I am so excited for the fun we are going to have this year with the twins. The days are perfect for fun at the pool, and the evenings call us outside for a nice stroll. It's nice to know that it won't get too hot, summers average around 78-84 degrees, so we will always have the option to be outside where my kids do best. A few things that will always remind me of summer are watermelon and swimming and now Roman and Capri can take part...

Ok, so these pictures are not actually at the pool, but do you know how hard it is to keep track of these two near their favorite thing-water?! Unfortunately that meant no extra hands to take pics.

Another favorite thing is, of course, the playground. Luckily, we have one not even a block away where the Roman and Capri could spend all day..

And at the end of the day, they tend to tucker out...

Happy Father's Day!

I feel incredibly blessed today because I know I have the bestest Daddy for my kids. Tucker is the most wonderful father to Roman and Capri and I really don't know anyone who loves their children more. Ok, so I am sure all of you think that about your husbands, but Tucker is no exception. He loves to play with them which is why they will never sit still in church with him around. The twins know that if Daddy is there that it must be time to be swung around, launched into the air, shaken (Tucker says that he has "shake the baby syndrome," but don't worry-it is totally safe!), or just bounced up and down. He will also read with them, which must be a favorite for the three of them.
Seeing as how worthless I am by the end of the day, Tucker gladly takes the kids off my hands for a minute so that I can rejuvenate. Let me tell you how nice this is, especially because he does it without even asking. Taking walks in the evening is getting to be a daily task and that freetime for me is superb.
Because we started out with twins, Tucker has had to take on much more of the care-taking than if we only had one child at a time. That means more diapers to be changed, more mouths to feed, more clothes to launder, more crying to hear, and much less sleep. Nothing gets him down, however, even when if it's one of the babies waking up much too early after an already late night. He automatically gets up and takes Roman or Capri downstairs. Am I the luckiest mom and wife in the world?! I think so and I want to thank him ever so much for all he does. I love you!

Tanner and Drew's Wedding

We had a great trip to Salt Lake for Tanner and Drew's wedding on May 31st. It was so fun to stay with Grammy and Grampy along with the Ludwigs and Nielsons. Roman and Capri were doted on from the moment we got there and though they had a bit of stranger danger at first, loved being with their cousins and aunts and uncles. Grammy and Grampy were the definite favorites, however, and often chose them over Tucker and I, which I was totally ok with!
The ceremony was beautiful and it was wonderful to be apart of such a sacred union. Drew looked gorgeous and Tanner was a stud. The reception was absolutely perfect held in my in-laws backyard with great weather, fabulous flowers and delicious food. The twins weren't the most cooperative at the temple, but were much happier after a nap and they did great at the reception. Unfortunately, they still kept me on my toes and so I didn't get many great pictures, but I am hoping the best photographer Rolf got some nice ones. Here are a few...
